About

I'm Daniel, a software developer based in Milton Keynes. I graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2026 with a First in Computer Science (81.9%).

I'm happiest where solid engineering meets careful interface design: taking something technically involved and making it feel simple to use. My final year project is a good example. I benchmarked ten routing algorithms across nearly 10,000 experiments, then built an interactive tool that shows each one working, step by step.

Group Technology Assistant, The Splash and Kaboodle

Joined as a summer intern and stayed on part-time through my final year. I rebuilt the company website in C# and ASP.NET, set up a CRM that now tracks over £10m of prospects, and reworked a data-entry process to save nine person-hours a day.

2024
Junior Software Developer (Internship), ITSSL

Built Vue.js front-end components and turned client mock-ups into production UI, working daily with a senior developer.

2019 - Present
Freelance Website Developer

Websites for clients in publishing, coaching and the creative industries, from the first conversation through to launch.

2023 - 2026
BSc Computer Science, Royal Holloway

Outside of work I'm usually behind a camera. I shoot mostly architecture and landscapes on a Canon EOS R5 and I'm a member of the West Haddon Photo Club. I also follow Formula One closely, which has a habit of turning into side projects, and play badminton when I can.
